  • PVC holds a very high weight to strength ratio making this piping system a reliable substitute to steel systems.

  • Rigid and high impact resistance, making PVC ideal for both underground and above ground pipework.

  • A smooth internal bore for reduced friction losses in your system.

  • Corrosion resistant meaning your water system is kept free of harmful loose particles caused by corrosion in steel piping systems.

  • Does not support combustion and therefore providing a reliable indoor pipeline solution.

  • Suitable for temperatures from 0°C to 60°C.

  • PVC is non-toxic and taint free making this a suitable piping system for potable drinking water systems.

  • Commonly used in Pumping Systems for Dairy Sheds, domestic and industrial plumbing, Water Filtration Systems, Wastewater Applications and Irrigation Systems.

Technical Information

Installation Instructions

  1. Ensure pipe is cut square. An angled cut may result in joint failure.

  2. Remove any burrs and bevel the end of the pipe 10-15°, as burrs may remove solvents when joining.

  3. Clean and dry the pipe and fittings. Remove any surface dirt, grease or moisture when a clean dry cloth. Use a primer to prepare the surface for bonding.

  4. Apply sufficient PVC cement to both surfaces. Twist pipe and fitting when inserting 1/8 to ¼ turn, but do not turn once at the stop. Hold for a minimum of 30 seconds to ensure joints do not part (longer time may be required for larger sizes). If there is not a bead of cement around the outside of the fitting, insufficient cement may have been applied and the joint may be defective.

  5. Remove any excess cement as this can weaken the joint and extend cure times.

  6. The joint must not be moved during cure times to ensure a strong bond.

  7. All piping and joints must be well supported.
